Glastonbury Festival 2009 will be held from Wednesday 24th to Sunday 28th June 2009, that’s 437 days, 12 hours, 35 minutes, 25 seconds ago One of the worlds biggest festivals it now attracts over 170,000 visitors. The first festival at the farm, in 1970, attracted just 1,500 visitors, the headline act at Glastonbury in 1970 was T.Rex. Glastonbury LineupOver the years there has been some significant appearances at the festival, in 2008 the biggest surprise was Jay Z and probably The Verve, with the later going done very well with the crowd at the pyramid stage on the Sunday evening. In 1993 The Verve also played at Glastonbury, but no Jay Z this time, in fact Rolf Harris was part of the lineup! Glastonbury 2009 Lineup
Glastonbury Festival LocationThe festival takes place on a 900 acre site at Worthy Farm which is between the small village of Pilton and Pylle, about six miles east of Glastonbury. Bookmark:
